Located at 301 Eastway Drive (Parcel 09713115), Charlotte, NC 28213, this 4.6-acre site offers convenience, strategically placed on the east side of Eastway Drive, near North Tryon Street and a short half-mile walk to the Blue Line Extension.
The project envisions 132 units – 80 one-bedroom and 52 two-bedroom apartments – tailored for senior households (55 and above) with incomes from 30% to 60% of the Area Median Income. Financed by 4% tax credits, additional funding will come from the CLT Housing Trust Fund and LISC. The joint venture includes Urban Trends and Greystone Affordable Development.
Key achievements include negotiating the JV structure, guiding rezoning, leading design, and collaborating with contractors for budgeting and timelines. Eastway Park Affordable aims to offer affordable, centrally located housing, bringing hope to Charlotte’s senior community.
