In addition to our management team, Harmon Construction has a highly skilled internal crafts force, who self perform key elements of our construction work including carpentry, demolition, concrete, interior trim, doors and hardware, millwork, and equipment operations.

Residential
Harmon residential building portfolio includes new construction, rehabilitation, family, senior living, and affordable housing. In addition, through our developer relationships; we build single-family/townhome for-sale and rental projects. Our firm has extensive experience in affordable housing whether it’s HUD 221 (d)(4), RAD, 4%, or 9% lending options.
Educational
The K-12 system has an important place in Harmon Construction’s business philosophy. The Harmon team has children of their own within the school system in Charlotte, so developing a better education system for their children and beyond, is something that will always be important to this company. HCS has done many renovations to schools around the Charlotte area, some of which you can find included in our Portfolio.
Commercial
Harmon Construction Services has experience in commercial work as well. We have worked on renovating and as well as building new offices and retail complexes, with a world class interior design. We hope to continue more commercial work around the Charlotte area in order to develop our community to the best of its’ abilities
Community
Harmon Construction Services provides for the community. Our top priority is creating a safe, beautiful and fun place to live. Whether that is showing the history of the town, creating safe havens for community members or developing further buildings to create beauty around the city, HCS wants to be involved.
Affordable Housing
Harmon Construction Services was started by Ty Harmon in 2018 with one specific goal in mind. He wanted to change the fact that there are not many minority owned companies that complete affordable housing within his community.
Ty witnessed the affordable housing issue firsthand, by seeing his own mother passing away at the age of 57 having never been able to own a home.
Ty wanted to change this for his Charlotte community and has not only focused on housing for the community but education buildings, commercial and community properties across both North and South Carolina.
Having children of his own growing up in Charlotte, Ty wants to make a difference through Harmon Construction, building a strong and safe community for those now and future generations.
There are many construction companies in the Charlotte area but few that run their business and projects with integrity and hard work as Harmon Construction Services.
Tyrone has collaborated on multiple projects for me including several apartment projects. These projects were completed on time, within budget, and to my satisfaction.
I have known Tyrone for several years and have known him to be honest, hardworking and knowledgeable in the construction industry.
